This is the thuggery causing blockages in urban centres and we continue blaming city authorities for failing to clean up drainage.
It’s our own unbecoming conduct.
We should right from nursery schools teach pupils to separate garbage .
The non biodegradable from the bio degradable for proper management.
That alone turns either garbage Into a resource.
The earlier for recycling and the later for animal feed or manure.
But the mix turns garbage into a nuisance very expensive to manage.
To an extent, yhe municipal authorities should be blamed gor failing to manage and enforce this but largely our conduct is very lacking.
This starts right from our bedrooms where some people fail even to manage proper & descent disposal of Sanitary pads and pampers.
It’s very disgusting finding these in garbage, let alone the mix of buvera , plastic bottles, rotting food stuff and fruits & green matter.
It only requires a simple behavioral change.
